I wonder how much time I\u2019ve spent staying in different places. If I added it all up, it would probably be several years. Our Paris garage is in TORCY, on the Honda France premises, so I guess I\u2019ve been staying around this area for almost ten years.
Today, I arrived at a B&B as usual. I couldn\u2019t get my usual place near the station, so I booked somewhere a little farther away for the first time. The lady at reception was very nice when I checked in. I wanted to have dinner with the team, but the hotel was quite far away, so I thought I would just see them tomorrow.
I went to reception and asked, in my poor English and French, \u201cCan you recommend a restaurant around here where I can eat alone?\u201d A man who overheard us said, \u201cThere are lots of restaurants around TORCY station. I\u2019m going there now, so I can give you a ride.\u201d
I immediately called the team and said, \u201cI\u2019m coming now, so let\u2019s meet at our usual Vietnamese restaurant!\u201d There\u2019s another B&B near the station where I often stay, and the restaurant is close to it. Surprisingly, the man told me he was going to that very B&B.
What a coincidence! So I said, \u201cWe\u2019re having dinner at the restaurant anyway, so why don\u2019t you join us?\u201d He said, \u201cOkay, I\u2019ll come later,\u201d and we exchanged phone numbers.
He eventually joined us at the restaurant. We chatted about this and that, and when we finished, he even paid for the whole team\u2019s dinner and drove me back to my hotel.
Then I asked him, \u201cBy the way, where do you live?\u201d It turned out that he manages several B&B hotels, including this one. And the lady at reception was his wife!
What a funny coincidence! I\u2019m staying at B&B hotels three times this month, so it looks like this month could be interesting!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
