On June 6, 2025, qualifying for Round 2 of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), the Spa 8-Hour Endurance Race, was held at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.A total of 44 teams entered the event. The EWC class, in which F.C.C. TSR Honda France competes, features 16 teams. In addition, there are 22 teams in the SST class and 6 teams in the newly introduced PRD class for this season.The final race will take place on June 7.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located deep within the Ardennes forest, Spa-Francorchamps is known as one of the most demanding circuits in the world, featuring a long layout of nearly 7 km, dramatic elevation changes, and rapidly changing weather conditions \u2014 the famous \u201cSpa Weather.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although unstable weather persisted until the day before qualifying, both qualifying sessions on June 6 were fortunately held in dry conditions. It provided the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the potential of the #5 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade under a variety of circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alan Techer was the first rider to head out on track and showed impressive speed from the very beginning of the session. He initially set the fastest time with a 2:19.705 before improving even further near the end with a 2:19.005, finishing the session in first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next on track was Corentin Perolari, who briefly moved to the top of the standings early in the session with a 2:19.244 before ultimately recording a 2:18.718, ending qualifying in third position for his group. Neither rider improved on their personal bests during the second qualifying session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Taiga Hada, making his first-ever appearance at Spa, recorded a personal best lap of 2:21.767. He adapted steadily to the long and complex circuit and made a valuable contribution to the machine setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With rapidly changing weather expected to heavily influence the outcome of the race, the Spa final is anticipated to be full of drama and unpredictability. Armed with the skill of its riders and the overall strength of the team, F.C.C. TSR Honda France will fight for a place on the podium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday\u2019s practice sessions were held in extremely tricky conditions, with wet and dry surfaces constantly changing back and forth, but even in those circumstances we were able to perform very well.
We maintained strong pace again during this morning\u2019s wet session, and then posted very fast lap times in the dry qualifying sessions this afternoon.This time, we chose a strategy of putting everything into the first qualifying session. In a way, it was a gamble, and honestly, the second session might actually have produced even faster lap times.
Still, starting from 4th on the grid is not a bad result at all, and having consistent race pace in every type of condition is definitely one of our strengths.Tomorrow, we want to deliver the best race possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Because we didn\u2019t get much dry running during yesterday\u2019s free practice, I\u2019m very satisfied with today\u2019s qualifying sessions in dry conditions. We were able to set strong lap times, and both Alan and Taiga delivered excellent performances as well. All three riders were consistent, and I think the team is in very good shape overall. Personally, I\u2019m a little frustrated that I couldn\u2019t improve my personal best in the final session, but Alan is extremely consistent and really loves this circuit, so I believe we can have a very good race. Both Alan and I performed well here last year too, and we\u2019re really looking forward to this year\u2019s race as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

This is my first time racing at this circuit. Yesterday\u2019s practice sessions were mostly in wet conditions, and I was only able to complete a single lap in the dry. So today\u2019s qualifying was effectively my first real experience riding here in dry conditions, which made certain parts quite difficult. Even so, I was able to complete qualifying properly and put together a solid session. We haven\u2019t had much time to practice at this circuit, but now my focus is fully on tomorrow\u2019s race.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
