PHILOSOPHY

Based in Suzuka, Mie Prefecture—the heart of Japanese motorsports—TSR (Technical Sports Racing) is a premier motorcycle parts manufacturer and racing team with roots tracing back to the dawn of motorcycle racing in Japan.

After developing young Japanese talent and competing in the All Japan Road Race Championship, the Suzuka 8 Hours, and the MotoGP World Championship, TSR shifted its primary focus to the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) in 2016. In the 2017–2018 season, just their third year of full-time competition, TSR claimed the ultimate prize by capturing the EWC World Championship title.

Tracing back the roots of TSR (Technical Sports Racing) leads to the late Teruyoshi Fujii, the former chairman of Honda World Co., Ltd. (the operating entity of TSR). He shared a deep mentor-and-protegé relationship with Soichiro Honda, the legendary and visionary founder of Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Since the dawn of motorcycle racing in the 1950s, this mentor and protegé pursued their passion for motorcycles with independent thinking, taking on the world as their stage. Their indomitable spirit has been passed down through generations and continues to flow proudly through the veins of TSR (Technical Sports Racing) today.

TSR’s origins date back to the mid-1960s, the dawn of motorcycle racing, with the birth of the Technical Sports Club. Its chosen symbol was the beetle.
Encased in its hard, protective armor, the beetle carried a fierce and profound meaning for the team: to emerge unscathed from a crash, and to survive even if battered and broken. It was a testament to ultimate resilience.
Times have changed. Motorcycles, circuits, safety, and technology—everything has evolved beyond recognition. Yet, the essence of racing remains exactly the same: a human being steering a machine, bound by the destiny of potential crashes, to be faster and more precise than anyone else.
This is the soul embedded within the beetle. Even today, the unchanging essence of TSR lives right here.
