I went to Honda today.
It was around lunchtime, and someone asked if I wanted to grab something to eat somewhere. I immediately replied, “I want to eat at the employee cafeteria!” To my surprise, they had a grilled mackerel set meal. I couldn’t help joking, “So you guys are buying up all the mackerel before it reaches the rest of us!” But seriously, have you noticed how scarce fish has become lately? When I traveled in May, mackerel set meals were already becoming harder to find. Now they’ve disappeared from many bento shops, set meal restaurants, and even Sukiya. What is Japan coming to? This is a serious problem.
The photo was taken when I played golf with Jack’s son, Anthony. He beat me on the final hole, so I ended up treating him to sandwiches at Komeda Coffee. Just wait until next time!
