Continent

Yesterday, my phone suddenly went off with a loud alarm.
It was an alert warning us about severe winds.
Recently, storms with heavy rain have been causing major disasters.
I pray for the safety of everyone affected and for a swift recovery.
Today, it’s the wind!
I had promised to meet Bruno at the bakery at 7:00 AM,
so I walked there, but the wind was so strong it felt like I was going to be blown away.
I even wondered if the bakery would be closed, as school closures and other warnings had been announced since yesterday.
However, the bakery was warm and open just like any normal day. The staff’s smiles were bright and welcoming.
We should strive to provide that kind of service too.
The photo shows the three of us: Jacques, Bruno, and me.
Since I was having coffee with Bruno, I naturally called Jacques and asked, “How’s France?” He laughed and said the rain was terrible on top of the wind. When I handed the phone to Bruno, he started speaking perfect French. So cool!!
