Every year, we hold our traditional rally, and we went for it yesterday.
This year, due to scheduling reasons with Gg (Jiji), who hosts the event, it wasn’t a huge crowd; instead, we just went riding with a close group of friends.
The pure exhilaration of tearing through the hills of Normandy at a pretty good speed is just unbeatable! We rode all day long without a single traffic light. Stopping by cafes, grabbing lunch, and fueling ourselves with beer and wine just like filling up a machine’s gas tank. We were like grown adults acting exactly like kids.
I just got in touch with the team in Paris a little while ago, and we are going to hook up in Le Mans tomorrow morning.
The photo shows the French old-timers—they’re a great bunch of guys.
Coincidentally, while we were out riding, Nakanishi from Ralliart reached out to me from Japan saying, “I’m out on a touring trip right now.” It cracked me up.
The bike I rode this time was a CB400.
It’s a machine I used to look up to back in the day.
