First day of testing for the Bol d’Or

We finished at 5:00 PM local time on Tuesday, September 1st. The purpose of this test is to get John, who has never raced here before, up to a level where he can be competitive in the race. So I’m satisfied with where we are after the first day. Hopefully we can make even more progress tomorrow!
This time, only our Europe-based members are taking part in the test. We packed everything into one van and came with the minimum number of people. I think endurance racing needs to reduce costs, team sizes, and other things much more. I’m not saying we should exclude fast riders or factory teams. Everyone should simply follow the same rules. The question is whether those rules should be set at the upper limit or the lower limit. I’ve always said they should be set at the lower limit.
This time, only three of us came to the track, and it made me realize again, “Yeah, this is enough!”
We’ll enjoy ourselves and keep pushing tomorrow!
