On September 19–20, 2026, the 89th edition of the Bol d’Or 24-Hour Endurance Race, Round 4 of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), was held at Circuit Paul Ricard in France. The battle for the 2026 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) title finally reached its conclusion in this fourth and final round.
Circuit Paul Ricard is a legendary track featuring a wide variety of corners as well as a long straight where riders stay at full throttle for approximately 20 seconds. A total of 56 teams from around the world competed at this circuit, a fitting stage for the final chapter of the 2026 FIM EWC season.
F.C.C. TSR Honda France took a cautious approach during practice with the race in mind, but showed its true potential once the race got underway. After setting the fastest time in the warm-up, F.C.C. TSR Honda France started from fifth on the grid, with Alan Techer quickly moving into second place immediately after the start and putting the team firmly among the leading group.
Corentin Perolari then demonstrated the potential of the HONDA CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, setting the team’s fastest lap of 1:52.570 one hour and nine minutes into the race to take the lead. John McPhee then took over at the front and extended the team’s advantage even further.
While engaged in a prolonged battle for the lead with BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM (#37), F.C.C. TSR Honda France maintained a strong pace and led the race on several occasions. Thanks to consistent performances from all three riders, the team held second place at the eight-hour mark, earning nine additional championship points.
Despite the disadvantage of slightly higher fuel consumption than its rivals and a few minor technical issues, F.C.C. TSR Honda France maintained its position in the top three throughout the night.
With less than four hours remaining, the French-Japanese team continued to set some of the fastest times on track, firmly holding third place. However, John McPhee then crashed while pushing to increase the pace and pull away from a rival closing in behind. Thanks to the experienced technical crew, the bike was back on track in around 10 minutes, but the team had dropped to fifth place. A final push from the entire team saw the riders reclaim fourth place by the finish, earning a further 24 championship points.
F.C.C. TSR Honda France finished the race with a total of 61 championship points, moving up to seventh place in the standings. After battling through a challenging season, the Honda factory team ended the year on a positive note, demonstrating the pace and potential to fight for victory.
Building on the lessons learned this season, the team will continue its challenge to reclaim the world championship title. Thank you for your passionate support throughout the 2026 season. We look forward to your continued support next season.

Alan TecherThe race is over, and so is the 2026 season. We were able to cross the finish line, and after failing to finish the Bol d’Or for the past three years, this result is very important to us. We were able to show our speed and battle with BMW. Together with John and Coco, we were fighting at a pace that put us in contention for the win. However, we made a few small mistakes and couldn’t quite put everything together. Even so, I’m happy with this result at the end of the season. We now know what we need to work on for next year. We’ll do our best to get back on the podium as soon as possible.

It was a truly fantastic race from start to finish. We were fighting in the top three from the very beginning, and in the end, the result came down to the smallest of margins. But that’s something that can happen to any team. John and Alan both did a really great job. John’s crash was nothing serious. YART was closing in right behind him, so any rider would have chosen to push in that situation. It’s disappointing that we missed out on the podium, but we finished the Bol d’Or—and for me, that’s the most important thing.

Honestly, I’m relieved it’s over! It was a really, really long 24 hours. There were moments during the race when we showed incredible pace, but we struggled to put everything together. We lacked consistency at a few crucial moments, but the HONDA CBR1000RR-R Fireblade worked extremely well and felt great. Once again, we proved that in certain stints we had the speed to fight for the win and the podium. Of course, it’s frustrating to miss out on the podium when we were so close. I’m sure every rider and every member of the team feels the same way. But we’ll learn from this and come back stronger. We’re determined to achieve the podium finishes and victories that we believe we deserve.
