Photos of the cherry blossoms arrived from Japan.
They are the cherry trees at TSR Suzuka.
Some of you may remember them, since I’ve introduced them several times before.
For some reason, these cherry blossoms always bloom earlier than the others.
It almost feels as though they are saying, “Give it your all again this season!”
Back when the WGP season opener was still held at Suzuka, the sight of cherry blossoms blowing across the circuit was truly beautiful.
Since we began competing in EWC and Le Mans, I no longer get the chance to enjoy cherry blossom viewing in Japan.
The other day, while heading to Almería for testing in Spain, I was admiring the beautiful flowers outside the car window when one of the French mechanics asked me, “FUJII-san, what kind of flowers are those?”
I told him, “Those are almond blossoms.”
