A power outage hit all across Spain starting around midday.
I had gone to a restaurant for lunch, and just after placing my order, everything suddenly went completely dark.
Mobile phones stopped working — everything went down.
Traffic lights were dead as well, and the roads quickly became heavily congested.
At that moment, I realized this could become serious, so I stocked up on water and bread.
I rushed to pick up my family, driving along highways where even the speed limit signs had gone dark.
I prepared myself mentally for a long battle.
Then, sometime after 8 PM, the lights finally came back on.

I was so happy to see the lights return that I opened a bottle to celebrate!
