【EWC Round 2 — Spa 8-Hour Endurance Race Final】Conquering the “Spa Weather,” F.C.C. TSR Honda France takes victory and climbs to 4th in the championship standings!

On June 7, 2025, the final race of Round 2 of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), the Spa 8-Hour Endurance Race, was held at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
Starting from 4th on the grid, F.C.C. TSR Honda France overcame unpredictable weather changes, difficult track conditions, and intense battles to claim a magnificent victory.

Starting from 4th on the grid, F.C.C. TSR Honda France approached the race with a clear strategy: maintain concentration, ride carefully, and maximize points even under difficult conditions.

The race began at 12:30 PM in dry conditions. Corentin Perolari made a brilliant start, taking the lead on the opening lap while also setting the fastest lap at that stage of the race. From there, Perolari and Alan Techer — both highly skilled at Spa-Francorchamps — alternated stints and continued delivering remarkable lap times.

However, around 3:00 PM, heavy rain suddenly arrived. Techer, who had only just pitted moments earlier, was forced to return immediately for a switch to rain tires. Although F.C.C. TSR Honda France had built a six-second lead, the team rejoined the race in 3rd position.

From that point onward, the race became a true example of “Spa Weather,” with sunshine and heavy rain constantly alternating and pushing the riders’ concentration to the limit. Yet the two French riders maintained an incredibly high pace without making a single mistake. With 1 hour and 30 minutes remaining, they reclaimed the lead once again.

The riders’ vast experience, the outstanding performance of the #5 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, and the strategic decisions made by the technical team — including tire choices with Bridgestone — all combined to help F.C.C. TSR Honda France steadily extend its advantage toward the finish. Despite the extremely difficult track conditions, the team continued moving confidently toward victory.

In the end, Alan Techer crossed the finish line more than 50 seconds ahead of second place, securing victory in the 2025 Spa 8-Hour Endurance Race.

With a total of 58 points earned from qualifying and the race itself, F.C.C. TSR Honda France climbed to 4th place in the provisional FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) standings.

The next round will be the legendary Suzuka 8 Hours, scheduled for August 3, 2025. F.C.C. TSR Honda France will continue aiming for even greater glory as it seeks to carve its name into the history of this iconic race.

Alan Techer

Right now, it still feels unbelievable.
The last time we won was at Le Mans in 2023, and since then we had gone quite a while without a victory, so today feels especially rewarding.
Over the winter, we went through major changes — riders, mechanics, even the crew chief changed — and I knew this season would be a challenging one. At Le Mans we had some bad luck and made a few mistakes, but we were still able to prove the team’s speed.
In today’s race, we realized that while we had very strong pace in the dry, we were slightly behind some other teams in the rain. That’s exactly why, during the race, we focused intensely on maintaining concentration and avoiding mistakes at all costs.
The final few minutes felt like several hours!
This victory is the greatest reward for all of us!

Corentin Perolari

It was a slightly tricky week, but together with Alan, we somehow managed to adapt.
I’m very grateful to him, to the team, and to everyone involved!
The race was never easy, and the conditions were similar to Le Mans, but I think they were even more difficult this time. Still, we managed to avoid every danger and finish on top, which makes me incredibly happy.
We were able to show strong pace throughout the entire week, and more importantly, we made no mistakes during the race.
I’m truly satisfied with this result.
